Well done to all the Year 6 children who attended some or all of our SATs Club sessions. I am extremely proud of how hard you worked. Some of you have asked for the sessions to continue, so I will run SATs Club again on Wednesday 24th April, Wednesday 1st May and Wednesday 8th May and our focus will be on SPAG.
This term Kingfishers will be busy getting stuck into topic work on Italy, science on the properties of materials and RE exploring the idea of God being Holy and Loving. They will be learning to play the steel pans for music and looking at growth mindset for PSHE. In Literacy, we will be doing a unit of work on explanation texts based on Wallace and Gromit's Cracking Contraptions, as well as starting to prepare and revise for the upcoming SATS. In Maths, we will continue to work on and build on the skills and methods previously worked on, as well as introducing new concepts and ideas.
Homework will be set on a Wednesday and due in by the following Monday. Spellings will be set on Fridays and need to be learnt for the following Friday (spellings are in the home learning section of the Kingfisher page as well as stuck into reading journals).
