In Class 3 we challenge ourselves by learning our timestables with speed and accuracy!
Our aim is to beat our personal best scores (PBs), continually raising our own timetables bar! Eventually we hope to complete the 99 Club by answering 99 questions in 5 minutes on all the timestables to 12x12.
We work our way towards the 99 Club in multiples off 11 (e.g. 44 Club is 44 questions in 5 mins). We must answer correctly all the questions in 5 mins in our club to move up to the next one, learning more timestables as we go.
11 Club - 1x, 2x, 10x tables
22 Club - including 5x
33 Club - inc. 3x
44 Club - inc. 4x
55 Club - 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x
66 Club - inc. 6x
77 Club - inc. 7x
88 Club - inc. 8x
99 Club - 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, 10x, 11x, 12x
Have you got what it takes to put in the time, effort and practice to learn them all?
In the summer term, we'll be taking on divisions too!! Don't panic, if you know your timetables you know your divisions!
You know 3 x 7 = 21
So you know 21 ÷ 7 = 3 - How many 7s are in 21? 3 because 7 x 3= 21
and you know 21 ÷ 3 = 7 - How many 3s are in 21? 3 because 3 x 7= 21
